Who is the audience?
Voice is an online news website that functions similarly to most news sites. To share current news without the need to buy a magazine or newspaper. The audience this particular site caters to seems to be black British people.
How have they been targeted?
The entire site is full of news surrounding the lives of Black individuals, black celebrities, and all the issues black people face on a daily bases. The site even has a section for "Black British voices". When a site is full of a specific race or demographic it tends to draw in an audience of that demographic by default. Because people are attracted to familiarity so when they see something familiar or just like them, they will be drawn to it.
How does post-colonialism fit into this?
This site can be seen as a subversion to post-colonial theory as the most seen people on this site are black. If it conformed to post-colonialism it would've just been white people and their stories with a few stories about black people and their issues. But this site tackles the whole picture. Black people are represented as the pillars of their community, having close-knit bonds, standing up for what's right, and sharing their voices. Black people aren't seen as the "other" they're seen as their own people. Black people are represented rather positively on this site in comparison to sites like "The Sun" which have a habit to demonize POCs in favor of white Brits.
