Before beginning our podcast development we had to do a survey of our target audience. We came up with a few questions and set out the survey to all the 11th and 12th graders to gather data. In total we had around 55 results.
We focused on looking at story telling style, how graphic the podcast can be, and what kinds of crime people we interested in.
Summary
We concluded that the majority of people prefer older crime and judging by the cases people favor, anything before the 50s seem to be what people consider old. In terms of graphicness, due to desensitization many people don't mind gory and graphic cases. Many people also prefer episodic narrator based crime shows.
