This is the editing development for the music video.
Kanna did the main portion of the editing for this project, as this part of my blog is from her's.
TEST FILMING
This clip is filmed using iPhone 14 and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro 2020
I used effects and adjustment layers (which includes: Lumetri color, channel blur, unsharp mask and noise) to create a VHS preset and cropped my video to match a 4:3 aspect ratio. I edited it to resemble old digicam clips.
Music Video Editing
With the lumetri color feature, I added adjustment layers to all of the clips. Those layers acts as a filter to match the tone, highlights and shadows of the video to match each other. Using the color wheel, I altered the hue of the videos to be a cool purple-ish tone to fit Eve's brand color.
For some blank transition we decided to put a VHS effect to relate more to the theme of the 2000s.
I made use of various features in adobe photoshop to arrange all the clips and incorporate it with the song.
I exported the video and converted it using cloudconvert's website and sent it to my partner Erin to incorporate the animated parts.
Along with the clips I also sent Erin the title card design and the "A Regents Media Production" text design for her to put together.
Music Video Teaser Editing
After Kanna finished editing the main video clips together I took it and animated over it. It was a bit challanging to animate things onto the clips because most if not all of them swayed or moved in some way because all the scenes were hand held.
Some parts of the animated scenes are a little messy because I've never animated on top of real images/videos. But after a few hours of experimenting I managed to get it looking decent. This is the draft before the final edit:
