Storyboard Development - Comp 3

This is all the development for the storyboard of the music video. I am in charge of creating the storyboard for the music video. I first thumbnailed the basic ideas in small rectangles on a piece of paper to see what I wanted to do before making the real storyboard. (Thumbnail for the animated focus portions) (Thumbnails for non animated parts, the ones with the actor) I used Clip Studio Paint and Da Vinci Resolve 17 to make the storyboard move according to the music for better visualization . (Referencing thumbnail as I go) We probably won't follow the storyboard 100% but this is so we know what to film. Now that the project is done, in comparison to the storyboard and the final outcome we changed a lot from the storyboard. Due to time constraints and a change of ideas we modified the final production to better fit our vision. Storyboard progress

Week 1 We spent this week doing a lot of advert analysis. We did around three essays on three different adverts of our choice to take notes from. Week 2 This week was dedicated to storyboarding. We learned how to storyboard in class and how to reverse engineer a storyboard from our chosen ads. These are mine: Week 3 I started with choosing my product to advertise and I chose an oldy but a goody: Aqua. Since my target audience is going to be local I want to use an already very familiar band. After researching, I chose to make the advert in the style of western adverts. Bringing a familiar product in a new and interesting way. I also went on a research spree on different ads for aqua and other ads from the west as inspiration. Week 4 I brainstormed some ideas and the idea of a mermaid eminently came to mind. I did a couple of character sketches and that helped me decide the advert was going to be animated.
